Tybura lost to Ante Delija via TKO (punches) at 2:03 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
If there's a hole in Tybura's game, even in this latter stage of his career, it's a lack of durability. He's a big, lumbering guy and his chin has always been a question mark. Unfortunately for Marcin, it reared its ugly head once again here. Facing a debuting Delija, Tybura simply allowed his opponent to push forward without resistance and unload power shots which were eventually enough to earn the stoppage. Of Tybura's 10 career setbacks, a half dozen now have come via knockout. Set to turn 40 years of age in November, Marcin figures to hover around the .500 mark moving forward.

Taking on Delija in Paris
HeavyweightUFC
July 1, 2025
Tybrua will fight Ante Delija in a heavyweight bout at UFC Paris on Sept. 6, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Tybura has won two straight bouts to push his UFC record to 14-8. His last time in the Octagon, he disposed of Mick Parkin via unanimous decision back in March. Now, he'll take on Delija, a Croatian fighter who will make his UFC debut. Tybura should be a heavy favorite in this one.
Hands Mick Parkin first loss
HeavyweightUFC
March 22, 2025
Tybura defeated Michael Parkin via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
Tybura is now 39 years old and wildly inconsistent, but he also has a ton of experience against quality opposition and has been in multiple main events during his time with the UFC. In other words, he's the perfect litmus test for a younger fighter such as Parkin. The two fought to virtually even terms this evening and the decision could have gone either way. Tybura landed 61 significant strikes compared to 60 for Mick. Both men connected on a takedown. Flip a coin. Marcin has very quietly won three of four dating back almost exactly a year.
Will face Parkin
HeavyweightUFC
December 10, 2024
Tybura will take in Michael Parkin in a heavyweight bout at UFC London on March 22, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Tybura is coming off a bounce-back win over Jhonata Diniz via doctor's stoppage back in November. That win pushed the heavyweight's record to 13-8 in the UFC, and he'll face an opponent in Parkin who boasts a perfect 4-0 record in the promotion. Parkin has an inch of both reach and height on Tybura.
Solid effort in late-notice win
HeavyweightUFC
November 16, 2024
Tybura defeated Jhonata Diniz via TKO (doctor stoppage) at 5:00 of Round 2 at UFC 309 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Non competitive in a first-round main event submission defeat to Serghei Spivac in August, Tybura got a late-notice fight here against Diniz and responded with an excellent effort. He got popped with a few big blows early on, but wisely recognized the danger and quickly reverted to his grappling game. Tybura proceeded to dominate on the mat, headlined by a few vicious elbows in Round 2. Referee Herb Dean could have easily stepped in, but he allowed Diniz to finish the frame. On wobbly legs and sporting a pair of massive cuts, the doctors would not let him come out for Round 3. Now 39 years old, Tybura is just 4-3 in his past seven fights, but those defeats came against high-end competition in Spivac, Tom Aspinall and Alexander Volkov.
Set to fight Diniz
HeavyweightUFC
November 2, 2024
Tybura will fight Jhonata Diniz at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Tybura will be looking to bounce back after losing to Serghei Spivac in his most recent fight, but doing so may be easier said than done against Diniz, who boasts a perfect 8-0 record as a professional (2-0 in UFC).
